    I think it’s normal. The first times I meditated I felt very tired, like I could fall asleep anytime. But that’s the good feeling, to be so relaxed that you’re about to fall asleep. :)

    Though here is something i do not understand. How does a state of thoughtlessness eventually lead to a state of enlightenment when enlightenment is complete understanding. How can you learn understanding if you just think of nothing all the time?

    Enlightenment is to get the light within you. It’s important step to percieve the real thing. It’s like you turn the light on in the room, you can read and know what is in the room. The mind proceeds in the following order: percieve, memorize, think, and know. If you percieve the right one, you will get the pure knowledge. Lord Buddha did see the truth of life from meditation by this process. To get the light, the mind needs to come to standstill.

    What if someone can’t cross their legs all the way, my cousin broke his leg and he can’t cross his legs all the way.

    I can’t sit straight if I am totally relaxed, is sitting straight important? If I sit straight my back is not relaxed.

    Now when i am meditating i feel some strange but nice feeling in my head.

    Is that normal?

    Lol, sometimes when I meditate I start seeing things clearer than physical vision. Many times I feel like my body floats and stuff XD

    chof09 you can either sit on chair if it is comfortable for you or find the best way for you to sit on the floor. There are many ways… try seiza. It’s Japanese way of sitting which is very usefull if you have problems with your back while meditating. It will help 95% when you relax your back in the process but it will be hard on your feet if you’re not used to it but once you get used to it after meditating your feet will feel like you’ve just learned how to walk again(works for me^^).

    strange feelings in your head is probably the opening of your third eye… but after 12 years of meditation, it should be open already.

    All of those skills are in us, that kind of spirituality is the most beautiful thing in life because we can actually evolve from own our soul.

    I actually felt that! So that’s the third eye? It really knocked me off balance when it happened, but seeing as how I’m just beginning to learn meditation I expect that. I hope to control this in the future, of course.

    can we use a cushion at the back bcause sitting on a chair isnt comfortable for me, as a beginner can i use cushion at the back and sit on the floor to start off, thanks:)

    Yes, you can use the cushion if you can not sit as the standard position.

    You can sit on the chair or the bench or on other things that make you fell relax and comfortably
